Casino Royale: A Classic Bond Film
Clive Owen seemed to me to be the obvious choice for the next James Bond. Ewan McGregor and Jude Law would also be excellent choices. But never for a second did I think of Daniel Craig as the next 007, and to be honest I thought that this guy would ruin the character altogether. Well, I was wrong because as it turns out, he did a phenomenal job as the legendary British spy!
This film takes an appropriate turn away from where the most recent Bond films seemed to be headed and bring Bond back to basics. No invisible cars, surfing on helicopter sheet metal or crazy gadgets. It was all getting a little out of hand anyway. Another thing added to the mix, is a slight, but pleasantly surprising, and fitting new character aspect of Bond. He’s got a dark side! This gives Mr. Bond that “anti-hero” quality that was always hinted at but never fully brought on, until now.
The movie, in a word, is great! It’s an entertaining, exciting, take no prisoners to ride from beginning to end, with lots of layers in between. I’m already looking forward to the next one with Daniel Craig, now that he’s proven that he has what it takes, and then some! I grew up watching Roger Moore as Bond, which of course makes him my favorite.
Timothy Dalton, I’m sorry to say sucked, then later came Pierce Brosnan, who I felt was almost, if not just as good as Sean Connery and Roger Moore. I was disappointed when I found out that Brosnan was bowing out, but after seeing Craig as the much looked up to and respected Bond, I was o.k. with the fact that it was time to pass the torch.
This movie is smart, sexy and has everything that you would expect in a Bond film, with a few new twists and turns which fit in perfectly. The action is exciting, the actors are brilliantly convincing, and the plot is one of the best thought out, working in synergy with all aspects of the film. There are lots of evil characters to deal with in this one, and the dark Bond, Daniel Craig is just the man for the job! If you hated him before you saw the movie, your opinion of him will change as you watch the movie, and you will want no one else but him as 007.
Daniel Craig is an incredibly talented actor, and his performance as James Bond is both new, and right on the money. It’s difficult to pull something like that off, but he does it! Eva Green is also spectacular in the movie. This is without a doubt, one of the best Bond movies, alongside Dr. No, The Spy Who Loved Me, and Goldeneye. Casino Royale is the longest Bond film to date, and all I can say is see it! See it! See it! Moreover, this movie deals with the action-packed atmosphere of casinos that is fairly similar to 에볼루션 카지노 so if you are a Bond fan then you should definitely try that.
